Ah, Licence to kill. A severely underrated film, featuring one of the finest villains and one of the finest chases.

Roger (can I feel your toger?) Moore gets my vote.

Favorite Bond film has to be Goldeneye "Hello James", and leasted favorite has to be the one with the to gays as the bad guys, that would be Dimonds are Forever. Nothing againts gays it's just a bad bond film.

Favorite Bond quotes anyone? mines above it's a bit lame I know, and hardly the most memorable of bond quotes, but it's just the way Boromir I mean Sean says it!

GoldenEye is my personal favourite as well, mainly because it was the first one I saw in the cinema. Everyone was afraid it would be politically correct and Americanised, but when Bond jumped off that dam the doubts disappeared - he was still sexist, he still used a Walter PPK and Q was still around.The tank chase and bungee jump are magnificent, and Sean Bean and Famke Jannsen (phwoar!) are two of the series' finest villains. Runners up are The world is not Enough, Die another day, Goldfinger, From russia with Love, Spy Who loved me, Live and Let Die and the two Dalton films. Least favourites are probably Moonraker and Thunderball. Have to say though, I've always found Wint and Kidd (the two gay hitmen in DAF) rather amusing, especially Wint's reaction at the end when Bond attaches a bomb to his groin.

I would have to agree that Goldeneye is also a very good film, and it was also the first Bond movie I saw at the cinema too, so it comes in second place for me. However, (just to be controversial) ALL of the other Pierce Brosnan films are totally lame.

Oh dear I fell dizzy. You CRAZY FOOL! OK, the second half of Tomorrow never Dies is a bit mechanical, and Jonathon Price is a weak villain, but lame!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets just say that after Goldeneye [excellent], I think it's reasonable to of expected the quality of the subsequent films to of been even better, instead of being worse. In fact, I think I've actually fallen asleep watching The World is Not Enough, product placement has made Die Another Day into like watching a 90-minute commercial break, and I don't think we need comment about the invisible car.

I shall post my opinions about fish wherever i damn well please. thankyou very much *swings handbag*. However, Pierce Brosnan is an excellent Bond. Making Goldeneye not only the best film, but the best game too.

I still think we should try and regulate and contain any fish posts in one area. I've seen it happen to millions of forums - they start out fine, than people start posting opinions about fish, than more and more people argue about fish, than everyone becomes so obsessed with fish that they can't think about anything else and stay online 24 hours a day, and the forum becomes so hopelessly swamped with fish that when you try to access the site all you get is the word FISHin huge letters across the screen.

As for what you were saying, Neil, it's true that after the utterly magnificent better-than-sex opening Thames chase, TWINE is much less action-orientated than GoldenEye, driven largely by dialogue and characters, but it features a particularly fine performance by Brosnan, wonderful supporting turns by Sophie Marceau and Denise Richards (who has an enormous pair of... eyebrows) and a marvellously poignant departure scene for Q. Electra and Renard are two of the most memorable characters to have appeared in the series, and this one of the few Bond films where Bond shows signs of doubt and vulnerability, adding an extra dimension to the story (note how his broken arm dogs him thoughout). The film does, however, make the mistake of making M look foolish, perhaps because the director, Michael Apted, is not really an action director, but more interested in working with actors.
As for DAD, yes, it's true that the product placement has become ridiculous, but that doesn't really have anything to do with the quality of the film. (In fact, product placement has been prominent throughout all of the Bond films. Go through any Bond such as the Man with the golden gun and every scene will have a car, watch, suit or cigarette lighter that will have sponsered the film in some way.). I thought the "invisible car", rather than being milked for all it was worth, was used with a lot of style and a sense of fun. Note how the script didn't constantly lazily use it to get Bond out a tricky situation when they couldn't think how - the minute the car chase began, it was disabled, and Bond is separated from iit during the scenes in which he raids the ice palace, confronts Graves and escapes in the dragster.
The explanation for how the "adaptive camouflage" worked was actually no less plausible than any of the more ridiculous gadgets in the films (the laser watch, the ejector seat, and in particular the underwater car in The Spy Who Loved Me which is actually much dafter and comes up out of the blue to save Bond from drowning). If Q had simply said, "here's an invisible car" I would have agreed with you, but I don't see anything wrong with technology that's just a little more advanced than in the real world. it's commonly said that all Bonds are set "five seconds into the future". Because of the different political climate, the new century and moderna action films such as the Matrix, DAD set out to give the film a hi-tech look.
And did I mention another wonderful perfomance from Brosnan, and the fantastic captured-and-betrayed storyline which sees Bond's role in the 21st century questioned, and sees our hero fighting to prove himself, which makes this one of the most interesting bond movies?

I can't really comment on DAD (dad?) because I haven't seen all of it yet. But I can already see whats coming next, there going to be putting something on the car that will make it fly, BTTF style.
